Steady Breath, Steady Mind: Enhance Your Daily Life with Practical Meditation

Wednesday, April 20th 3:30-4:15 PM – Sea Bright Room

Today is enough! You are enough; you have enough; you do enough.  Put your ear down to your soul and listen.  If you really want to learn more about yourself and the world around you, then turn inward.  In just 120 seconds/2 minutes/30 breaths, you can change your whole day.  Experience how to still your body, steady your breath, and watch calmness unfold from within.  Come learn to master the science of believing you are enough, and live each day in the present moment.  This is a simple and practical approach to the meditation process.  Kristin Gould, Jyoti.

Objectives:

  • The learner will be able to evaluate the science of meditation according to Yogic traditions.
  • The learner will be able to discuss the purpose of meditation to calm the nervous system and improve self esteem.

Kristin Gould brings years of experience in yoga and her love of nature to fulfill the aim of Ohanala. Her teaching style is imbued with palpable energy and passion. She employs a vinyasa style of yoga teaching and holds ample knowledge of Ayurveda and Hatha yoga, having learned from both American and Indian yogis. Kristin’s teaching philosophy — to always be a student, to always continue learning—is a testament to her commitment as well as a way to pay tribute to those who came before her.
Kristin believes the best teachers never stop learning and spreading the new information they acquire. For Kristin, yoga is living life to its fullest potential; being forever grateful; and riding on the wave where breath, body and soul unite. When this is practiced, we are reaching a meaning beyond the confines of the mat.

Ohanala was founded upon this very principle:
We are all connected through the world we share.
