Wednesday, November 14 11:00-11:20 AM – LEARNING LECTURES (MAIN LOBBY / CENTER ATRIUM)
Most of us know that diet, sleep, and exercise are key to our health and well-being. What most of us don’t realize is that our physical environment – what we put on/in our bodies, in our home and in our air and water – is equally essential to good health and avoiding disease. Today,
> 1 in 10 kids is diagnosed with ADHD; chemical exposure is one of the factors attributed to its rise.
> Inside homes, chemicals from paints, pesticides, personal care products and perfumes are found in concentrations 7x’s higher than ambient air & add now add as much to air pollution as cars.
Glyphosate, the main ingredient in Round Up, and its dramatically increased use in wheat harvesting, is linked to the rise of celiac disease, especially in adolescents.
> There are several clear links between our climate’s health and human health – asthma and lung disease to name two.
> Now, it’s confirmed that carbon emissions are sucking the nutrition out of our food.
So, what do all these trends have in common? The health of our environment plays a role in each one. We have all received to a slew of toxic exposures – no two are the same.

You’ll gain usable tips and practical tools to improve your home’s air and water quality, select safer products, and steer clear of indoor pollution. And once put into practice, you’ll improve your family’s health and wellness, save money, and make your home a place where your family can thrive!
