Cardiovascular Nutrition Controversies
Wednesday, November 14 10:30-10:50 AM – LEARNING LECTURES (MAIN LOBBY / CENTER ATRIUM)
A heart-healthy diet has been the cornerstone of cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment for decades. This presentation will address some of the more popular food trends and dietary patterns that are promoted for cardiovascular health. Is coffee good for your heart and how much; what about tea? Should you take an antioxidant pill? How about that glass of red wine?
It will also answer your burning questions about benefits of nutraceuticals such as red yeast rice, fish oil and others.
