The Tigger Stavola Foundation was founded in 2013 to honor Richard Stavola, Jr., lovingly nicknamed, “Tigger,” who lost his life to an accidental overdose at the young age of 25. Their early work focused on changing the stigma surrounding substance use disorder and building awareness of it as a disease. The Foundation has evolved tremendously over the 11 years since its inception to focus on saving lives through the education of future generations regarding the dangers of substance abuse through multifaceted educational programs.
Eleplan, a secure platform designed to support caregivers and their loved ones, strives to alleviate some of the stressors and burnout that come with the often overwhelming task of providing quality care. Through the organization of key information and documentation, Eleplan simplifies care coordination, helping to take some of the burden off of caregivers. Amanda Lukof, Special Needs Advocate, shares the personal family story that led her to create Eleplan.
The Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide (SPTS) and WEforum celebrates the successful culmination of the “What I Wish I Knew: Empowering our Youth and Establishing Hope” Community Conversation event held on March 19th, 2024, at The Two River Theater in Red Bank. The program provided attendees with an insightful exploration of personal experiences and invaluable insights from a distinguished panel of experts. The living room style conversation provided a warm and inviting atmosphere allowing attendees to hold space and speak freely.
