In May, WEForum proudly partnered with benefactor Meulener Dental of Little Silver to sponsor the Long Branch Public Schools’ Annual Future Ready Summit. This inspiring event creates a platform for students to gain access to programs and tools that extend beyond the classroom to empower students to be “FUTURE READY” so they can succeed in a global society.

WEforum and Meulener Dental joined forces with local community partners Marine Academy of Science and Technology (M.A.S.T.), the City of Long Branch Ocean Rescue, Urban Coast Institute, Monmouth University, Sodexo, and Amy’s Yogabilities to create this inspiring summit for students in the Long Branch high school, elementary and middle schools. The event supporters each provided a unique, interactive learning experience for the students, introducing them to a broad range of subjects like engineering, digital arts, environmental, and health and wellness.

WEforum would like to extend its gratitude to Meulener Dental, whose generous support was instrumental to the summit’s success. Meulener Dental is a family-owned dental practice in Little Silver. Brian, with the support of his wife, Kristen, left a thriving career in advertising in 2010 to pursue his dream of joining his father, Dr. Carlos Meulener, at the successful dental practice he founded in 1982.  Brian embarked on the long journey toward matriculating and graduating the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine after fulfilling the prerequisite classes needed to apply to dental school at Monmouth University. Given Brian’s personal experience remapping his own career path, he understands first-hand the importance of exposing students at a young age to the many educational, career and life opportunities the world has to offer.

The Meulener family are staples in the Two River area who dedicate their time and resources to supporting their local and surrounding communities. WEforum and the Long Branch School District are fortunate to be proud recipients of Meulener Dental’s generosity that makes it possible to further WEforum’s mission to strengthen the health and wellness of communities by educating and empowering individuals.
