The Tigger Stavola Foundation was founded in 2013 to honor Richard Stavola, Jr., lovingly nicknamed, “Tigger,” who lost his life to an accidental overdose at the young age of 25. Their early work focused on changing the stigma surrounding substance use disorder and building awareness of it as a disease. The Foundation has evolved tremendously over the 11 years since its inception to focus on saving lives through the education of future generations regarding the dangers of substance abuse through multifaceted educational programs.
