The holidays are a time when community matters most and Lunch Break in Red Bank is once again reminding us what it means to show up for one another. As families across Monmouth County face rising costs and increasing need, Lunch Break is stepping in with compassion, dignity, and practical support.
This season, they’re hosting three meaningful ways to give: a Holiday Toy Giveaway to ensure every child feels the magic of the season, an Amazon Wish List to make giving easier than ever, and a Holiday Meal Drive so families can gather around a festive table with comfort and joy.
Below is a simple breakdown of how you can help brighten the holidays for local families.
1. Holiday Toy Giveaway – Saturday, December 14
On December 14, Lunch Break will host its annual Holiday Toy Giveaway, ensuring children in our community (newborn through age 17) experience the joy of opening a gift this season. New, unwrapped toys and gift cards are needed and will be distributed directly to families who rely on Lunch Break’s services.
2. Amazon Wish List for Families
If you can’t shop in person, Lunch Break has created an Amazon Wish List so donors can purchase toys and, especially, much-needed gift cards online and have them shipped straight to the pantry. This is one of the easiest ways to make sure every child is remembered.
3. Holiday Meal Drive – Hams & Turkeys (Dec 1–22)
In addition to toys, Lunch Break’s Community Kitchen is running a 2025 Holiday Meal Donations Drive from December 1–22. They are specifically asking for hams and turkeys so families can enjoy a special holiday meal together. Donations can be dropped off at 121 Drs. James Parker Blvd., Red Bank, Monday–Friday from 10 AM–1 PMand Saturday from 9–11 AM (enter via Norma Todd Way and follow signs to the Donation Door). For questions, email drives@lunchbreak.org.
