December 2024

By Carolayn Crane, Owner and Co-founder, Pyour Core-Synergy Hot Yoga

The WEforum Fit Crawl, launched in 2016, began as the kick off to the WEforum Women’s Health and Wellness Conference. Local fitness and wellness studios generously volunteered their time and resources to support this inaugural event, aimed at promoting attendance and spreading publicity around the conference, as it was the first of its kind in the Monmouth County area. Since then, countless local studios and businesses have continued to partner with WEforum and rally behind the Fit Crawl, generously offering their facilities, expertise, and instructors to inspire a healthier, more active community. A standout amongst these amazing partners is Pyour Core – Synergy Hot Yoga, a valued legacy studio that showcases true dedication to enhancing health and wellness in our community.

Fit Crawl 2025 Legacy Studio Spotlight: Pyour Core-Synergy Hot Yoga

Pyour Core studio, a unique fitness and wellness destination, was established in 2008 by owner Carolayn Crane in her home garage on Long Beach Island (LBI). Her main goal was to make Pilates accessible to the community, addressing a gap that had been overlooked with no local studios available. She quickly recognized the need for such an offering was in high demand, as her schedule filled up immediately.

Yet the vision for Pyour Core was not limited to Pilates. Carolayn aspired to expand the studio to include group fitness classes. When Super Storm Sandy hit in 2012 and devastated her garage studio, she saw it as an opportunity to move into her first legitimate space in Ship Bottom, where the studio continued to grow in size and spirit. The regeneration and notable growth is a testament to the strength and resilience of Pyour Core and a reflection of the community’s support and belief in her mission. Due to Carolayn’s love of fitness and dedicated following, she decided to open a second location in Monmouth County.

And the business continues to grow. Pyour Core Monmouth County recently expanded through the acquisition of Synergy Hot Yoga. Carolayn transformed the space into a comprehensive wellness destination by combining the two modalities of Pilates and Yoga along with chiropractic care, all in one location. The studio’s environment caters to their client’s specific needs and goals, guiding them through both rehab and conditioning with a holistic approach that ensures their overall fitness and well-being.

Pyour Core’s dedication to its clients’ overall health is unwavering. The instructors train and rehabilitate clients successfully, whether due to an old injury or new one, or a severe nervous system ailment causing debilitating balance issues such as Guillen-Barre Syndrome, Brain Damage, Parkinson and M.S. The ability to address a wide range of conditions effectively demonstrates the progress that clients can achieve through their services.
